Someone You Can X-Ray
Favorite Connecticut jam band features sonic rock built on a substructure of funk, blues and folk. Lead vocalist Dana found her voice for rock and pop as a teenager. Recent album Hot n Fresh released June 2018.
The Cobalt Rhythm Kings
Featuring two Chicago natives on vocals -- The Kings have played everywhere from New York's premier blues club, Chicago B.L.U.E.S., to the New Haven Jazz Festival to Black-Eyed Sally's in Hartford. The band debuted on the national stage on Oct. 8, 2005 at the Arkansas Blues and Heritage Festival -- formerly the King Biscuit Blues Festival -- in Helena, Arkansas. Other stops have included many of Connecticut's top clubs and festivals.
Harris Brothers Balkan Band
Instruments and rhythms from Eastern Europe make for a seriously danceable set of folk tunes. With special guests from the youth band Cocek Nation.
Julia Davis
New Haven singer-songwriter goes to school in New York, but she's home for the holidays! Indie folk rock combines edgy lyrics with vocals like sugar plums.
